CLASSES OFFERED



Participants are tested using Best Plus and other assessment tools. Materials from New Reader’s Press, designed to fit the needs of English Language Learners, are used on all levels.

Beginning level



Students in Beginning English learn the sounds of the alphabet, basic everyday vocabulary, and learn to read in English.



Intermediate English



Students in Intermediary English, progress to reading and discussing short novels and continue expanding vocabulary and writing skills.



advanced english



Students spend one class day a week reading short biographies and novels. The class is spent with an emphasis in conversation, as well as in investigation of various historical and contemporary figures. These materials are sent to students’ homes directly from Amazon, and are a part of a home library to be shared with family members, friends, and neighbors.


In the second weekly class, students continue with the Challenger Series, advancing in more grammar and writing skills

LACSO works with area businesses and industries to provide vocabulary specific classes to provide safety, improve job performance, and advancement to workers.


New Readers press offers several selections and a curriculum is made for each company to best serve individual needs.
